Imagine an operations team watching an impressive AI demonstration. The tool reads a service request, identifies the problem and drafts a sensible response. Everyone agrees to proceed. The service has barely changed. Somewhere between the prototype and the working day, the project lost contact with the problem it was supposed to solve.
